Drop in style improv class featuring long form, short form and line games.

Do improv! No pressure to be funny or clever. You’re enough just the way you are. Come out and learn the art of improvisation in a safe way.

2-hour Class

Come out and do improv in this fun accessible no pressure environment. Taught by Improv U founder Anthony Francis or a special guest teacher. Learn how to think fast on your feet, build confidence, and meet new people.

A typical class looks like this:

We go around and introduce ourselves and say why we are here. We do some warm ups, scene work, improv challenges, improv games, and sometimes we even do musical improv. You never know what each night will bring. We do let you know when we will be having special guest instructors. 

$10, cash or card at the door.

What to expect:

• Sign in and take your seat
• Anthony does intro and goes over rules
• Warm ups and exercises in a circle
• 2 person activities/ Group Activities
• Improv scenes with challenges
• “Warm Fuzzies” – go around the room and say something you liked that someone else said or did.

Before coming to class:

• Wear clothing you can bend and move around in and that covers you securely.
• Comfortable shoes you can move around in are also recommended.
• Avoid heavy colognes and perfumes.

Class Rules:

• Respect the actors on stage by watching silently and applauding loudly.
• You are invited to perform clean and avoid “blue” humor. 
• No hitting, jumping on, or kissing anyone you don’t already have a hitting, jumping, kissing, agreement with.
• If you feel uncomfortable for any reason just say STOP and we will stop the scene. No discussion or explanation necessary.

Meet your instructor!
Anthony started doing improv in 2012. By 2015, he founded Improv U, creating a supportive environment for people to learn and do improv in a protected space. For over 12 years he has been teaching and performing improv in South Florida as well as performing at Festivals around the country. Anthony has also produced and hosted a number of improv festivals and shows such as The Palm Beach Improv Festival, The O-Town Improv festival, AntFarm, Halo Kitty, and his latest show, WITH.
